About Heather Hartmann
Welcome to Thatgeekydesign!
My name is Heather Hartmann. I started off as a self-taught designer in 2002 as a hobby. I started designing by creating photo manipulations as well as drag-and-drop avatar creation websites using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
I continued my education through specialized classes at Victor J. Andrew High School for graphic design, web design, as well as teaching. After winning a scholarship through Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce I continued my education at Moraine Valley Community College.
I completed my degree at Columbia College Chicago and obtained my BFA in Graphic Design and minored in Web Development. Since college I have worked as a Graphic and Web Designer in many exciting fields. I have worked in high-end luxury fashion, customer service, website template development, chiropractic, dental, podiatry, as well as telecommunications.
In my personal time I enjoy hiking, running, working out, photography, travel, spending time with family and friends, playing with my dog and two cats, learning new trends for design, crafts, and listening to music.
